Overview of the location
At the foot of Mount Nebin, surrounded by nature, Cucchiales di Stroppo (1350 m. s.l.m.) is a picturesque village of the Maira Valley, dressed in a thousand colors depending on the season: in summer it’s emerald green and the smell of grass and hay in the air brings you back to ancient times, when man and animal lived in symbiosis outdoors. In autumn, in addition to the wonderful fall colors like yellow/red/orange, the rich scent of the earth and the mushrooms that grow in the bushes permeates the environment; whereas in winter Cucchiales offers a picture postare view with the white landscape and the surreal silence muffled by the snow. For several weeks, the scent of fireplaces in the air, turns the icy cold in a warm embrace when you cross the threshold. Spring gives the wonderful view of the awakening of nature and the blossoming of plants and flowers, tinging the panorama with sparks of purple, pink and blue.
Each season, with its own features, gives the inhabitants and their guests wonderful experiences.
Several trails that can be covered on foot or by bike, with skis and snowshoes, in the months that allow it, start right here. Fantastic trips can be taken to hike on the very same Mount Nebin.
Specifically, the house is located in the hamlet of Cucchiales Inferiore "Galian"
In addition, five kilometers from Cucchiales you will find the Bar Bistro Shop L'Ape Maira, a place where you can buy food and typical local products or enjoy breakfast, meals and snacks.
